Let's be honest for a second here. Many people think that a girl that is treated as a bro by guys might be a lesbian, a bitch, a slut, or all of the above. The reason being she mostly hangs out with guys and gets along with them. I have always enjoyed the company of guys more than girls, why? Well guys are pretty funny, guys actually say what is in their minds, AND there is less drama. I have been only been called a bitch but for a completely different matter. Girls do not think I am any of this things because I hang out with girls as well and it seems that is acceptable. The reason why I don't have a lot of girl friends is because most of them do not hang out with me for the right reasons. In high school I was in ROTC and I had a few girl friends with whom I would eat lunch once in awhile but the only reasons why they wanted to eat with me was because:
1.They wanted information about “the cute guys” in ROTC.
2. They wanted to gossip about classmates.
3. They did not do their homework so they needed my help.
My closest friend who is a broette as well did not waste her time with other girls, I could handle all the gossip and drama but she hated that so other girls did not think kindly of her. When a girl is a broette it is a struggle to find another girl that can fully understand you. Also, girls can be cruel and I really do admire broettes who can completely ignore the comments other girls make. Whether it is from jealousy, envy, or anything else sometimes broettes have to deal with girls that do not understand why we hang out with guys or why guys like to hang out with us.
